Aprils Adventures

The start of the drive north.

Having to do some pretty tricky and fast thinking around tunnels and bridges that don't allow/can't drive under or through while driving the northern part of America.
(most driving app will not help with this)


Second stop, I forgot to take pictures of first,

Washing, DC. Cherry blossoms, National archives for reaches.

Next stop, Biltmore Estate. While that area is beautiful, the park we pick was less than perfect. sad.

You actual aren't allowed camera or cell phones in the Masters so this is all you get. Except, Tiger won!!

End of April adventures! 

My Virginia getaway

Started with retirement drinks by the pool -

Then a stay in Daytona -

Amazing dinner at Rose Villa, Ormond Beach.

Sunrise and off on my journey. (ok, so I slept past sunrise!)

The drive - 

smooth sailing 95 north until Savannah. 

Jammed up for almost an hour, seriously wondering if I should have taken US17?

Good tunes, audio books and good driving until Charlotte area. 

What a mess!

10 plus hrs later, HERE!

Things I did and learned here,

first, RELAXED! 

First time in too many years to count I did nothing but relaxed.

I found - 

fried pie! People will really fry anything. 

The temp - 

It's cold! 

and the amusement - 

watching the locals creepy walking down paths. 😆

Went shopping to local shops like Ollie's and a fabulous vintage shop called Dusty. 

Overall stayed with wonderful friends and family. 

SO happy I was allowed this time.

Can't wait for the adventure.
